<description>&#60;p&#62;After receiving diagnois via ultrasound, I discovered the following: this type of injury can be present for a long time without showing any obvious physical signs like limping, swelling or heat. Your horse can seem &#34;off&#34;; if racing maybe run slower times, things like that before finally coming up lame. A strain of the inferior check ligament is the mildest injury of all the possible tendon/ligament injuries; usually ice, standing wraps and time off (4-8 weeks, includes lite exercise) will bring horse back, but will never be 100% and must be careful not to re-injure.

<description>&#60;p&#62;Weekends just don’t get much better than this…Michael took the TrackMyHorse.com booth along with the Prize Posse cash to Marshall, TX for the NBRA Finals.  The turn-out for the event was fantastic and the weather was perfect.  Thank you Andie &#38;#38; Cary Guess for inviting Track My Horse and the Prize Posse, for sharing the opportunity to be part of your terrific barrel race!  The reception from the barrel racers’ was electric and Michael or ‘the money man’ as he was dubbed had a blast giving away Prize Posse cash.  Michael called every night thrilled with the activity around the booth and he enjoyed speaking to all of you!  He is so impressed with the NBRA, with Andie &#38;#38; Cary’s hospitality, professionalism and openness in creative ways to provide rewards for NBRA member’s and competitors at the barrel race.  It is weekends like this, when you are depleted of energy and voice, yet a smile lights your face for the rewards for all have been great! &#60;/p&#62;

<title>T.L. Mahan on "Cribbing"</title>
<link>http://www.trackmyhorse.com/forum/topic.php?id=7#post-9</link>

<description>&#60;p&#62;I came across an article regarding cribbing on the Parelli website and found it very interesting.  To read the full article visit &#60;a href=&#34;http://www.parelli.com&#34; rel=&#34;nofollow&#34;&#62;www.parelli.com&#60;/a&#62; and search cribbing.  &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;The article reflects that cribbing was thought to be a nasty habit in which a horse gulps in air.   In actuality the horse is releasing air to relieve upper digestive discomfort.  When the horse is unable to expel this air he is in gastric pain to varying degrees.  The article goes onto say that cribbing does not cause colic, weight loss, etc. but it’s a sign of digestive distress and the lack of this release may induce these ailments.  Cribbing is the result of things like mineral deficiencies, a weak digestive system, feeds that are hard to digest, and stress (which shuts down the digestive system).  Nor is cribbing ‘contagious’.  Horses don’t learn it from each other, they do it because they live in the same stressful circumstance and/or mineral deficient feeding regime.  Once you understand that a horse is trying to relieve indigestion, it makes you think differently about putting on that cribbing collar.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;What do you think?  My horse that cribs does suffer from a minor ulcer ailment which supports their finding.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Have you ever experience a horse picking-up cribbing from watching another horse?  I haven’t but have been told the story. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Curious to hear your thoughts.

<description>&#60;p&#62;I am looking for a saddle pad. Currently I am using a Saddlerite with a tacky pad underneath. My horse is very broad in the shoulders and with a regular pad my saddle tends to roll. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I was thinking about one of the better gel pads but I am just not sure. I also looked at the CSI pads, very expensive and I would rather try one first but nobody up here has one. Thanks for any help.

<description>&#60;p&#62;To edit race information it maybe helpful to think of the site navigation in the following manner.  The Logbook tab is your data entry ‘form' page.  Your Arena History tab contains the 'records' of these Logbook entries, displayed in Chart View or List View.  To edit Logbook entries go to...&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;a. Arena History&#60;br /&#62;
b. Select List View (button directly to the right of the select an arena drop down list window).&#60;br /&#62;
c. Select the Arena from the drop-down list (this may be done before or while in the List View).&#60;br /&#62;
d. Brown columns display your 'show' information, prioritized by date.&#60;br /&#62;
e. Click the arrow icon to the left of the date within the brown column and green columns will appear.  These green columns display your 'race' information. You may also select 'show all races' under the arena drop down list and ALL the green columns will appear.&#60;br /&#62;
f. Edit (or trash) your entries as necessary using the edit/trash icons on the right side of each applicable column.&#60;br /&#62;
g. Be sure to save when you're done making your corrections.
